We sit in church, worshipping our lives away to protect our souls from the dreaded unknown of the after-life. What rests in eternal salvation? If we pray every night, can we be confident in our ascension? If we believe with every fiber of our being, can we have faith in an everlasting life? As I sit in this finite existence, I realize the great truth: that love is man's only redemption. In the end, no on reflects on how many Sundays you devoted to a church. No, they will think of your heart. Our lives are not measured by what we devote ourselves to, but to whom. The life that continues past our own is seen in the moments we have shared. So, we must love while we can; give your heart without fear. The emotional pain we may experience is well worth the blessings of reciprocation. I will love with everything I have whether my future be treacherous or smooth-paved. I have been saved forevermore by three simple words: I love you.
