Theology tends to elude me, but I feel confident in my career as a theologian.

The say that, "to love another person is to see the face of God." This saying is one of the greatest realities I can think of. To look into the eyes of someone you love is to finally feel comfortable and safe in this world. We go through our lives unsure and scared until that one moment that we have prayed for. The world can be a terrifying place; full of lies, horrors, and loneliness, yet it needn't be. Our salvation from society rests in that one human being that makes us whole. Of course, we must all brave treacherous waters for what we desire. There will be times of great darkness for all of us; tear will be and shed and hears will be seemingly shattered. But it is also true that that one moment is worth all of the pain and suffering we must endure. Yet, we shouldn't fear the heart-ache ahead or behind us, because it is there to build us and give us hope. We should listen to our heart-beats, whether they be joyful or morose, and know that, somewhere, there is another heart beating just for us.

So- What is grace? What is faith? What is salvation? It is nothing more than a fleeting glance between two helpless souls. Perhaps it is foolish of me to think so much of one glance, but it is also foolish to underestimate the great mysteries in life. It may be simplistic, but it is true and absolute. Je t'aime.
